Circle Around The Sun

Between here the sun and through the sky
There lives a place where dragons fly
Around the stars and into the sea
There is some space for you and me
Where we can walk where the iris grows
Down by the bridge where the river flows
Past the pub by the old train station
I hold my breath with anticipation
As you take my hand and lead me inside
In search of the truth that never lied

From the beginning part of our days
Where laughter smiles and music sways
And moves along with the beat of a drum
That somehow knew our time would come
To teach each other a different way
And turn the angle of each day
And when rain falls and water is moving
Views from our window will keep improving
So we can see beyond the moon
To stop water falling far too soon

And keep the songs playing in your car
The road ahead is never too far
And as time bends and keeps spinning around
The shape of its hands can still be found
To guide us through to Neverland
Where pirate ships fight on floating sand
As fairytales whisper stories in the air
And let the dreamers meet them there
So they can watch over us down the street
Whilst they pour a drink and pull up a seat

To protect the outside which can’t be seen
So try not to fall inside your dream
Hold on tightly and keep your eyes shut
For here and now is the final cut
Thank you for everything else and more
And as you know I truly adore

For you are so very good to me
Take a step back and see what has become
Of our first circle around the sun.
