At a midnight fair you came over and spoke to me
You said you liked the way may voice sounded in your head
And without another word you took me on a ride
Spinning around under the sky as I couldn’t see
I could hear every word your imagination said
My excitement had no limits and nowhere to hide
Looking deep into me you asked me to dance
Holding me close, dancing on the balcony floor
Never touching the ground as we were moving
Swaying me through the air I was lost in a trance
Whispering to me you’d never felt this way before
Thinking maybe fate had a chance of improving
Wishing upon the starry night to never end
Hoping that we would feel this way forever
Our fears were depleting with each moment passing
Trying to push back the clock and make time bend
So we could hold onto this night together
Knowing all about each other without even asking
Wondering what happened to the stranger I once met
Does he hold memories of the two of us
Thinking back on that night remembering him so well
He took my breath away and I shall never forget
When all the stars shone through the darkening dusk
The night we rode on our moonlight carousel.
